Our Story
How TravelArte Started
TravelArte began long before it had a name. For us, Adelina and Ionuț, it was simply the way we explored Transylvania ourselves.
We spent years discovering this region, revisiting familiar places, meeting people who preserve local crafts and traditions, staying in beautifully restored guesthouses and returning to the ones that felt genuine and deeply rooted in their surroundings.
We moved to Transylvania in search of a different rhythm of life, closer to nature, people and place. We found ourselves drawn to these highlands and the landscape that invites you to slow down.
Over time, people began enquiring about these experiences. The TravelArte story became our way of bringing together what we value most: thoughtful travel, local gastronomy, heritage, artisans and the people behind the places we had come to know.
TravelArte grew naturally from this way of living.
We never set out to build a conventional travel company. What mattered to us was creating space for slowing down, being present and experiencing something honest and meaningful.
