Our Story
How TravelArte Started
Before TravelArte became a project, it was simply the way we were exploring Transylvania ourselves. Seeking depth, context and presence.
We spent years discovering this wonderful region, meeting people who preserve local crafts and traditions, staying in beautifully restored homes and returning to places that felt genuine and deeply rooted in their surroundings.
Over time, friends and travelers began enquiring about these places and our experiences. TravelArte became our way of bringing together everything we value most: thoughtful travel, meaningful encounters, local gastronomy, heritage and a sense of connection.
We moved to Transylvania, searching for a slower rhythm of life and a deeper connection to nature, people and valuable encounters. What began as a personal change gradually transformed the way we travel. We found ourselves drawn to these highlands, with their restored guesthouses, local artisans, long conversations around the table and landscapes that invite you to slow down.
TravelArte grew naturally from this way of living.
We never set out to build a conventional travel product. What we care about is creating space and opportunity for transformation - to slow down, to be present, to experience something honest and meaningful.

Our Approach to Travel
Transylvania is where we are designing experiences for travelers, brands and communities. A vivid medieval landscape with seasons, traditions and a quiet continuity. Not a backdrop, but an active presence in everything we create.
Living in this land, revisiting familiar places, working closely with people we trust, all of these have shaped the way we work. Not through big decisions, but through small, intentional choices. We simply love to transform presence into connection and connection into meaning.
For us, travel is not about doing more in a new world. We believe it is about seeing the world differently.
